How does a sunscreen work @www.heler.in
Sunscreen not only shields the harmful UV Rays but also reduces the ageing effects of the sun.
Sunscreens are basically two types ...
1. UV Absorbers - are chemicals that absorb radation and convert it to negligible level of heat. These are basically organic as they contain carbon atoms. This chemicals are effective in absorbing both UVA & UVB part of spectrum.
2. UV Reflectors - are chemicals mostly made of oxides, like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide which scatter UV radation.
Sunscreens usually have more than one and upto six or more active ingredients like lotion, milk, cream, oil, foam or gel. These ingredients help with shelf life or water resistance or even influence the way a sunscreen feels or smells or how well it adapts to the skin.
A very important fact we need to know about sunscreens is they provide a screen, not a total block. Which brings us to the SPF Factor of sunscreens. Sun Protection Factor is a measure of how much of UV rays get through the sunscreen. The higher the number lesser the UV rays penetrating through it.
SPF 30 - allows only 1/30th or 3.3% of UV to reach your skin
SPF 50 - allows only 1/50th or 2% of UV
Apply sunscreen atleast every 3/4 hours either in-doors or out-doors as UV radiation also emits from indoor lights.

6 Scientifically proven fruits that can initiate hair growth and prevent hair fall @www.heler.in
Hair loss is quite a stressful issue to deal with especially in young men & women. Though it's often considered a sign of ageing there are many influences like climate, hormonal, internal disorders, side effect of treatment etc. Male pattern baldness accounts for 95% of hair loss in men and women.
High cholesterol, high blood pressure and stress are also very important factors influencing hair fall.
The science behind how these fruits help prevent hair fall...
Baldness happens because the hair follicles go to sleep before the regrowing phase. According to researchers at Columbia Unive to grorsity an enzyme called Janus Kinase is "suspended in hair follicle's dormant phase" stopping hair growth. Researchers have found that blocking the resting of Janus Kinase enzymes can wake up the hair follicle to grow hair rapidly and robustly.
The New Zealand Institute for Plant & Food Research have tested many fruit extracts and found that certain fruits are potent Janus Kinase blockers. They all contain high levels of 'Ellagic Acid' known to inhibhit the enzyme Janus Kinase.
These are the 6 scientifically proven fruits which promote hair growth..
1. Blackberries - besides high in Ellagic Acid they are rich source of Vit. C, A, E, K
2. Boysenberry - a cross between blackberry and raspberry
3. Feijoa- also known as Pineapple Guava
5. Rosehip - small berries of rose plant

Skin pigmentation can be effectively treated by your dermatologist based on the cause, and it is recommended to see one before dwelling in home care routines.
